Kuumba – Creativity

2019 was a very exciting and productive year for Black Fire! We released two films (Black Bus Stop and Hampton), began work on another short, offered the large lecture course, Black Fire, in both the spring and fall semesters, and picked up a few award nominations and prizes for Black Bus Stop.  In the fall semester, students in the Black Fire course also put out special issues of Pride magazine, a monthly created by the Black Student Alliance in 1975. The magazine no longer  exists so as a class project we decided to put together a few issues, which I hope to post soon.
